NASHVILLE, TN — Within hours of purchasing a sunburst Telecaster from a local music shop, a 22 year old man has reportedly undergone what experts describe as “a full emotional rebrand.”
Witnesses say the transformation occurred somewhere between learning his third chord and posting his first blurry black-and-white Instagram story.
“He used to say things like ‘I’m fine,’” said one close source. “Now he says things like ‘I’ve been doing the work.’”
Since purchasing the instrument, the man has begun:
- Referring to past relationships as “lessons”
- Using the phrase “energy doesn’t lie.”
- Staring thoughtfully out of the windows he previously ignored.
- Calling late-night drives “necessary for growth”
Sources confirm he has not yet completed a full song, but has delivered multiple TED Talk–length reflections on vulnerability while gently picking the intro to a song he almost knows.
Music store employees say this is a common condition known as Immediate Acoustic Self-Awareness.
“It starts with open chords,” one employee explained. “By week two, they’re talking about boundaries.”
At press time, the man was reportedly telling a friend he’s “not heartbroken, just aligned differently now,” before asking if anyone knows a drummer who’s “serious but not toxic.”
