A Midtown fitness studio called Iron & Honky Tonk is going viral after claiming that playing a single Brothers Osborne song on a continuous loop for the past month has led to a 200% increase in new memberships, longer workout sessions and what staff are calling “unreasonable levels of confidence.”
Owner Rachel Sneed said the shift was immediate. “We changed the playlist on December 1st. By the next week people were lifting heavier, grunting louder and high fiving babies in strollers.”
According to Sneed, the decision started as a joke but quickly became policy after members refused to let the song end. “Every time it stopped, someone would yell to put it back on. At some point you stop fighting the mob.”
Trainers report that clients now refuse to leave after class and frequently shout “But it ain’t my fault” during spin sessions and deadlifts.
Instructor Mark Ruiter said, “I have had people ask to add extra sets just so they can stay in the room longer. One guy told me he does not even work out here. He just comes to listen.”
One member added, “I came in for a thirty-minute workout. I stayed two hours so I could hear that song thirty-five more times. I do not know what happened. Something took over me.”
The gym has since renamed its most popular class The It Ain’t My Fault Bootcamp and confirmed the song will remain on loop “for the foreseeable future.”
